Show Adam Ruins Everything about 
“How Funerals Rip Us Off” at 9 p.m.

An advance-directives program at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse will get national attention on TV tonight.

At 9 p.m. on truTV, Gundersen ethics specialist Bud Hammes will be featured on the series Adam Ruins Everything – watch a preview of the episode here.

The program tries to debunk false ideas. Tonight’s episode is about death and the American funeral industry.

Gundersen’s Respecting Choices program, which allows patients to make advance plans about end-of-life care, has been highlighted on several national shows.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
