Area police are on the lookout for a white/gray full-size SUV that was involved in a hit-and-run Saturday night on the north side of La Crosse.

The SUV, possibly a Suburban, ran the stop sign on Charles Street in La Crosse and collided, totaling  the Chevy Equinox heading east on Clinton Street.

The SUV, which stopped briefly, before fleeing the scene, appears to have one or more of its tinted windows broken and damage to the rear quarter panel on the passenger side.

If anyone has information or sees a vehicle matching the description of the SUV, please contact the La Crosse P.D. at 608.789.7200.
