Home prices continue to rise
High prices could be from
lack of available houses
Prices are up. Sales are up. That’s been the story for the housing market in La Crosse County all year.
That has continued in November. The latest numbers from the Wisconsin Realtors Association show home sales up more than 11 percent through November over last year.
Median sales prices in the county have increase from about $151,000 to over $154,000.
Local real estate brokers say the higher prices come, in part, from a continued lack of available houses on the market. Home sales for the state have also increased by over 11 percent for the year, so far.
