Fireworks show from Grandad Bluff to bring in New Year
Skyrockers offering a
preview at 6 p.m.
The highlight to the New Year celebration in La Crosse can, perhaps, be seen in the sky.
While others watch the ball drop, the fireworks will rise from Grandad Bluff.
At 6 p.m., tonight, the Skyrockers will give the city just a preview of the NYE celebration. And, just before the stroke of midnight, the real thing.
The group says the best place to see that show from the bluff would be the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse campus, the K-Mart parking lot or anywhere near Losey Blvd and State Road below Grandad Bluff.
Wednesday night the group gave onlookers a preview from Pettibone Park, Pat Bonadurer, with the group, showed some kids how the fireworks work.
Kids and their parents got to push a plunger to set off shells. Tonight, the pros take over.
