Woman was told “keep driving” after running over pedestrian
The 22-year-old faces
handful of charges
A Holmen woman will today have to answer to charges that she drunkenly ran over a pedestrian in a crosswalk in downtown La Crosse and kept driving.
Ally Kessler, 22, spent the weekend in jail after police say she hit the 46-year-old victim in a crosswalk downtown around 3 a.m. New Year’s Day.
Cops say Kessler blew a .16 once they tracked her down. She claimed she kept driving after hitting the victim because her friends told her to. She faces a handful of charges.
The victim, meanwhile, will need surgery for her injuries, which don’t appear to be life threatening.
