La Crosse has so many medallion searches during the year, that some people become expert hunters.

La Crosse’s Heidi Barreyro seems to be one of those experts, finding the Winter Rec Fest medallion for the second time in six years.

Barreyro says a clue about a steeple led her to that south side location, which is near the high steeple of the Holy Cross Seminary. She won $500 for capturing the medallion.
