Cruz, not Donald, the man in La Crosse County

The Donald might be the choice as president for Republicans in most of the U.S. In La Crosse County, however, Cruz is the man.

Texas senator Ted Cruz landed in first place in the latest La Crosse county Republican party straw poll for president.

Cruz received 28 percent of the vote. Donald Trump tied for second with Florida senator Marco Rubio at 24 percent. 

It’s the first time that La Crosse Republicans have voted Cruz as the top choice in their poll. Iowa caucus voting is a week from today.
