into Doerflinger building

Having the name Duluth in downtown La Crosse will be a big plus, according to the head of Downtown Mainstreet Inc.

Director Robin Moses says the Duluth Trading Company will be a good addition to the Doerflinger building at Fourth and Main streets. It will reside on the first floor, including the Three Rivers Outdoor space, which closed in November after 15 years.

“Their brand is very well known,” Moses said. “It’s something that is of high quality. And we know that it’s going to be a really great fit for the rest of the business mix that’s happening currently in downtown La Crosse.”

Moses hopes the arrival of the clothing store will help lead other businesses into empty storefronts downtown, including a couple buildings on Pearl Street and the former Rocky Rococo location on Fourth.

This will be Duluth Trading Company’s 10th store – fifth in Wisconsin.
