Holmen to offer ‘safe zone’ for Craigslist-like exchanges
Zone will be at police HQ
If you’ve bought something online and you arrange to meet the seller to complete the deal, some communities offer to give you a safe place to meet.

The Holmen Police Department is planning to provide such a ‘safe zone’ at its headquarters. Police chief Shane Collins says he plans to use that zone.
“I think craigslist is a good thing. I buy and sell things on there all the time, myself,” Collins said.
Collins says be cautious. Those planning to meet sellers or buyers through sites like Craigslist have been ripped off – and in some cases, murdered – in the past.
