Suspected murderer of Central High student could reach plea Tuesday

A plea agreement may have been reached by the 18-year-old arrested last summer for another teenager’s murder on a south La Crosse street.

Deshawn Randall is scheduled for a plea hearing in La Crosse County court on Tuesday. Randall reportedly shot 17-year-old George Miller nine times, while chasing after him Aug. 21.

Miller died on Green Bay Street.

Randall surrendered to police after a standoff that night. He’s been in the La Crosse County jail ever since, under a million-dollar cash bond.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
