Chilsen announces he’ll run a write-in campaign
Mayor not on ballot
after papers mix up
Onalaska’s mayor ends the suspense about whether he’ll keep running for a second term today.
Joe Chilsen is in.
The mayor announced today he will launch a write-in campaign, 62 days before the April election.
Mayor Chilsen was kept off the ballot by what he called an oversight, in leaving his home address off some pages of his nomination papers.
The problem was pointed out by the only other person that was going to run for mayor, Jack Pogreba, who is now, of course, the only person on the ballot.
Chilsen told reporters that he’d like to have two debates with Pogreba before the election.
