Adapted high school floor hockey unique in Wisconsin
In Minnesota, it’s a sanctioned sport
Adapted floor hockey is a state-sanctioned sport in Minnesota. In Wisconsin, however, only four teams are believed to exist.
And all of them are in the La Crosse area.
Central, Logan, Holmen and Onalaska all have mixed boys and girls teams. They began a playoff Tuesday at Central and will wrap up with finals Thursday.
The players in this league have special needs or disabilities, which might keep them from getting on the regular sports teams.
