Climate change awareness festival going down in La Crosse

Not your typical Saturday festival. One on climate.

It’s called the Climate Action Festival and takes place Saturday afternoon at the First Congregational Church on Main Street in La Crosse. 

A few groups forming the new Coulee Region Climate Alliance are hoping to spark some conversation and action on the issue of climate change. 

“I think that everyone is aware of it,” Kathy Allen with the alliance said, “but people aren’t necessarily aware of what we can do and what some groups are already doing and how we can help efforts that are already underway.”

Among the things you’ll be able to do at the festival is measure your personal carbon footprint and how you might be able to reduce it.
