La Crosse County officials could get raises
Meeting tonight to decide
on 2-3 percent increase
Some of La Crosse County’s elected officers could be making $80,000 a year by 2020, if the county board approves a pay schedule tonight.
The board is being asked to OK yearly raises of 2-3 percent for the county clerk, the treasurer and the register of deeds.
Right now, all three officers make $73,000 per year, and they’re all up for four-year terms in November.
They’re scheduled to earn $81,000 during the next term. The sheriff and clerk of courts have a separate pay agreement. Those two are not on the ballot again until 2018.
