New rules could make La Crosse hauntingly quiet

The band getting a little loud will be a bigger problem in La Crosse if a new rule is approved by the city council.  

Next month the council considers a proposed ordinance that would more tightly restrict loud noises from 10 p.m. – 10 a.m.  

Basically, if you have a party going on inside, your neighbors 100 feet away better not be able to hear you or you’ll be in violation of the new rules. Also, boaters with loud stereos will be in violation if people on land can hear or be disturbed by the sound of a boat’s stereo.
