Ribbon cutting today

PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, Wis. — A ribbon-cutting for a new Gundersen Health System clinic takes place today in Prairie du Chien.

That’s where the dental and eye clinic will open.

Gundersen Dr. Michael Dolan says patients might be surprised to find dental and optical services at the same location, but the location is convenient for patients and staff.

“Dental and vision aren’t two things a lot of people think about but they’re both services you may go and seek at a facility that’s separate from a big medical clinic,” Dolan said.

The new Prairie clinic relocates some medical services from the larger Gundersen clinic in town, located near the high school and the former site of Memorial Hospital.

It also features more parking, which wasn’t always available at the other Gundersen location.
