Historical Society launching Mystery Tour of area

12-hour tour happens May 3

There’s a new tour coming in May featuring some unusual spots in the region.

It’s called the Mystery Tour, so don’t expect to know much heading in.

“We pride ourselves on the uniquness of these tours,” said Lee Worrell from the La Crosse Historical Society, which is sponsoring the tours.

At 7:30 a.m. May 3, a bus will leave from the Bridgeview Plaza, taking guests to parts unknown – though it will be in a 100-mile radius of La Crosse. Cost is $80 for group members $90 for others.

Worrell said last year’s tour went east through Monroe County and continued to the Baraboo area.

 

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse.
