La Crosse K9 units finish
in Top 10 in competition

STILLWATER, Minn. — His name is Ralph. Sounds like the name of someone slow.

This Ralph, however, is not. Ralph is on the K9 unit for the La Crosse Police Dept. and he’s the fastest police dog in the region.

Ralph and his human, officer Tony LeQue, took home first place at the Region 19 Detector Dog Trials in Stillwater on March 19.

The Ralph-LeQue unit scored a perfect 200 at the the United States Police Canine Association (USPCA) Narcotics Detection Certification Trials.

Ralph was the fastest to complete the course out of the 59 teams in competition.

Two other units from the La Crosse P.D. brought home Top 10 finishes with 199.5 scores – Brutus and his human, officer Casey Rossman (below, left), along with Zaback and officer Trenton Bowe (right).
