Not April Fools: Trump coming to La Crosse Center
First candidate to visit Center since 2008
Those rumors you’ve heard about Donald Trump coming to La Crosse before Tuesday’s primary, they’re not rumors anymore.
At 10 a.m. Monday, Trump will be at the La Crosse Center, in the North Hall.

His campaign announced the rally Friday afternoon, on April Fool’s day, no less.
Trump will be the fourth presidential candidate to visit the area in eight days. John Kasich was in West Salem, Wis., last Monday, where 200 people were in attendance.
Hillary Clinton visited Western Technical College in La Crosse, where 300 people came to hear her speak.
And Wednesday, Bernie Sanders packed the OmniCenter to the tune of over 3,300 people.
The North Hall at the La Crosse Center is said to hold around 1,500.
Center manager Art Fahey said he was talking with the Republican’s staff since Tuesday about a local appearance. Trump would be the first presidential candidate to speak at the civic center since John McCain in October of 2008.
Barack Obama had an outdoor campaign rally at the center that same month.
