Here are some tips for voting in the La Crosse area
Polls open from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Long lines are expected for those who have decided to wait until today, election day, to register and vote.
Polls are open from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. in Wisconsin.
La Crosse County clerk Ginny Dankmeyer says there are things you can do to help the process move faster.
“Just make sure you have a photo ID – an accepted photo ID – ready,” she said. “Make sure you have it with you, out and make sure you know where your polling locations are, especially if you’re in the city of La Crosse. A lot of them have changed since last time.”
If you don’t know where to vote, go to myvote.wi.gov.
It’s there, Dankmeyer says, where you can find your polling location, see if you’re registered, see who is going to be on your ballot.
“So when you go to the polls, you can be an educated voter – know why you’re voting for the persons you are and be prepared to research the candidates if need be.” Dankmeyer said.
