Drug cartel member arrested with $20,000, half-pound meth
Vu was out on bond after her Feb. arrest
Another arrest for an accused big-time meth dealer in La Crosse.
Kojoua Vu is one of 17 members of a large meth dealing drug ring busted in October.
That was a group accused of running meth between La Crosse and the Twin Cities.
Vu, out on a $5,000 bond since her arrest in February, was busted again Monday at an apartment near the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse campus.
Police say they found $20,000 in cash, more than a half pound of meth, a digital scale, a dozen cell phones and all sorts of other stuff associated with drug dealing.
They also found some synthetic urine, which, police speculate, was likely used to help Vu get around her court-ordered drug testing.
Also arrested in bust, 24 year-old Douazhong Vu.
Both face new charges for dealing meth. Kojoua Vu faces a number of other charges, as well.
In early March, La Crosse Congressman Ron Kind made a big deal of the meth problem in La Crosse and vowed to help local government go after suppliers.
When Kojoua was arrested in February, she had a duffle bag full of items, including folders with different people’s names on each containing court documents of search warrant reports, rights forms, testimony from search warrants, investigation reports, control buys and other documents.
