Randall Steers is accused, again, of sexual contact with a child.

After the victim’s father confronted Mr. Steers about the incident. He left and later texted the family something along the lines of ‘I suppose you guys are mad at me now. I would never hurt her,'” La Crosse prosecutor Brian Barton told the court Thursday.

The 49-year-old, arrested for sexual assault of a child in 1990 and 1996 – the latter of which were dismissed – was arrested this week for first-degree sexual assault of a child.

Steers will be allowed to live with relatives while his case is in court, but he’ll be under house arrest.
