Cullen says Republicans shouldn’t get excited about April
Former Dem. Senator was in La Crosse on Monday
Wisconsin Republicans are feeling pretty good about the November election, as a result of the April primary.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s choice for president, Ted Cruz, was a winner. So was Justice Rebecca Bradley, a Walker appointee.
Former state Senator Tim Cullen, a Janesville Democrat, thinks April results do not give an accurate forecast of fall elections.
“They shouldn’t get too excited about how they do in April,” he said. “It’s a much more Democratic turnout in November, than in April.”
Cullen served nearly 20 years in the state Senate. He visited La Crosse Monday to sign copies of his new book about Wisconsin politics, called Ringside Seat.
