Three responsible have yet
to be caught despite this video

The King will return. King Gambrinus that is.

City Brewery CEO George Parke told WIZM that a King Gambrinus statue will once again get installed outside the Brewery in La Crosse.

The statue was removed about a year ago after getting broken in an act of apparent random vandalism.

Surveillance video (below) in March 2015 caught three men approaching the statue after bar time. One of them climbed on the statue and broke off an arm.

Despite the video being relatively clean, those responsible for the vandalism have yet to be found.

At the time, the statue was considered repairable, but Parke said an entirely new statue is getting built. He hopes to have it installed this summer.

Parke would not say how much the new statue costs or where its getting built.
