Viterbo going Wall Street come August
New state-of-the-art lab will
give students stockbroker experience
Soon, students at the Viterbo University Dahl School of Business will have the same experience as those on Wall Street.
That’s the claim from it’s Dean, Tom Knothe, announcing the school’s new finance lab, set to open in August.
“The idea is to create an environment that allows our students to get some hands-on experience, such as they would in the real world of investing money in financial markets,” Dean Tom Knothe said.
The university won’t be doing any added construction for the Charles Gelatt Finance Simulation Lab, as a large suite is simply being converted.
The lab will feature:
- Two 22-foot stock tickers
- 24 dual-screen computer terminals equipped with financial markets simulation software
- Four large screen televisions to provide live coverage of the financial markets and world news
Knothe says the new lab will allow them to have information like professional stock brokers on wall street.
