Altra robbery in La Crosse looks drug related, and over $800

Robber, driver and accomplice all arrested
The holiday-weekend holdup of Altra Credit Union in La Crosse was supposedly drug related.
That’s what robbery suspect Shane Sherburn of La Crosse told city police.
The other two facing charges in the Saturday afternoon robbery are Tenesha Sherburn, Shane’s wife and with Rodney Simmons of Kankakee, Ill.
Shane Sherburn told investigators that Simmons forced him into the holdup, because he owed him more than $862 for heroin, which was precisely the amount he asked for from the Teller. He demanded the cash, writing a note to the teller on a deposit slip.
Police say Shane Sherburn went inside the Festival Foods on Copeland Avenue and gave a stick-up note to the teller at Altra located inside the store.
Simmons told police he drove him to and from the store, but claims he didn’t know there was a credit union inside.
Tenesha Sherburn is accused of hiding the clothes that her husband wore during the robbery.
The husband and wife also face charges of neglecting their three young children. The kids, ages 10, 7 and 10 months, were alone in a house covered with garbage, dirty diapers and hundreds of syringes.
