Police say alcohol a factor

She just wanted to get his attention. It probably worked.

La Crosse Police were called to a La Crosse residence early Tuesday morning for a reported stabbing.

Caroline Davis says there was a dispute with her boyfriend whether or not he would sleep on the couch or her bed. The 50-year-old wanted him on the couch.

Davis has been charged with disorderly conduct and substantial battery.
