Child has skull fractures, possible brain damage

Chad Parker was initially in jail for seriously injuring his three-month-old boy, including skull fractures to the child.

Out on bail, the 29-year-old Onalaska man was arrested Thursday going into the home of the boy’s mother with a shotgun.

The district attorney’s office said Parker left the woman a note, in which he admitted to hurting the baby and hinted that he might kill himself.

Bond is now set at $50,000, since Parker cut his electronic monitoring device off to venture to the boy’s home.

Last month, Parker was charged with causing skull fractures, along with multiple bruises, and possible brain injuries to the child. He claimed he accidentally caused them by sleeping on top of the child.
