Gov. Walker wavering on his support of Trump
Wants Trump to renounce comments about Latino judge
MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is wavering on his support of Donald Trump.
Wednesday, Walker renewed his call for the presumptive Republican presidential nominee to renounce comments he made about a Latino judge.
But Walker isn’t expanding on his comments from Tuesday that he’s waiting to see how Trump performs between now and the Republican convention in July to decide whether he will still back him.
Walker says there’s no chance he will try to win the nomination away from Trump at the convention.
“I am completely committed to being governor,” Walker said. “If I run another campaign in the future, it will be running for re-election in 2018.”
He says that campaign, not a run for president this year, would be the only one he would consider.
