Minnesota tops list for children’s well-being
Iowa comes in third, Wisconsin not in Top 10
There’s better place to be in the U.S. if you’re a kid than Minnesota.
That, according to the new Annie E. Casey Foundation Kids Count Data Book.
It states that Minnesota is tops in the nation for child overall well being. Iowa came in third, while Wisconsin was 13th.
The report takes in a list of factors for determining well being, including how many kids are in poverty, teens involved in drug and alcohol abuse and the percentage of children in single parent families, along with several others.
As a nation, there’s improvement in a lot of area, with plenty of room for improvement, according to the report.
Minnesota doesn’t have to do much. Along with its overall number ranking for kids, Minnesota also leads the nation in health ranking for kids and is in the top ten in every other category.
