Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson believes civilized world is at war with Islamic terrorists
“Orlando (massacre) has proven Islamic terrorists
have not laid down their arms,” Johnson said.
Clearly the U.S. is at war, according to Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson.
And, not just at war, but fighting a war that was started by someone else.
“It’s important for us to understand that Islamic terrorists declared war on the United States,” Republican Johnson said Tuesday at a Senate Homeland Security Committee meeting in Washington, D.C.
“One (reason) that’s pretty visible was the first attempt to bring down the Twin Trade Towers,” Johnson continued. “That was on Feb. 26, 1993. And, the fact that we didn’t face the full reality right there and then, I think, eventually led to the fact that we then faced the tragedy of 9/11.”
Johnson, the Chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, believes it’s the U.S. and the rest of the civilized world that’s at war with, what he calls, Islamic terrorists.
Ones that he believes were behind the nightclub shooting in Orlando this month – a stark reminder that ISIS-inspired terrorists won’t stop their war willingly but have to be stopped with force.
“Now there are two ways to end a war,” Johnson said. “Either one side defeats the other or both sides decide to lay down their arms.
“The tragic events of yet another ISIS-inspired terror attack in this country in Orlando has proven Islamic terrorists have not laid down their arms.”
For Johnson, the only way to end the war is to pick up the pace, not peace. The only way to win is to defeat ISIS and those he deems Islamic terrorists.
