ReNEW La Crosse wrapped a very successful 2016 campaign helping to revitalize the Powell-Poage-Hamilton and Washburn neighborhoods.

Kahya Fox, Executive Director of Habitat For Humanity La Crosse, said 127 volunteers showed up and they completed 55 projects on 29 properties.

“We did landscaping, raked and weeded,” she said. “We brought in mulch. We did rock gardens. We worked hard on making them better places to live, work and play.”

Fox says the program will now shift to the Lower Northside Depot neighborhood next summer.

“These neighborhoods were actually identified five years ago when we did some neighborhood analysis,” she said.

I also act as the voice of local sports, doing play by play of high school and college football and basketball. When not working I enjoy golfing.
