A court appearance is planned today for a 21 year-old robbery suspect.

Desmond Ledet is accused of breaking into a north side La Crosse apartment early Monday morning and robbing a man at gunpoint.

Police say the victim got home to find Desmond Ledet there, while others were asleep in the apartment. Ledet stuck a gun in the guy’s face, grabbed some stuff and took off.

Cops showed up just as Ledet was riding away in a taxi. They followed the taxi and eventually chased him down on foot.

Police did return the victim’s belongings.  They did not locate a gun.

Besides the robbery charge, Ledet also faces charges for resisting arrest and marijuana possession.
