New 45 single-family home subdivision,
Festival store and Kwik Trip among the proposals

The Village of Holmen board will deal with several economic development issues at its board meeting this morning.

It will look first at a new Kwik Trip proposal on Hale Dr., which is scheduled to be finished in late 2017.

The board will have to look and see if the plan might force a change to a new Festival Foods store going up in the area, as well.

Village Administrator Scott Heinig says the business expansion and housing developments that have been happening are great signs.

“It’s one of the fastest growing communities in Western Wisconsin,” Heinig said. “The market and economy really encouarges that type of investment and that’s where we’re at, I think, in north La Crosse County, a need for additional residential expansion.”

A developer’s agreement and construction plans for a new subdivision consisting of 45 new single-family homes will also be considered.
