Central’s new, safer entrance near complete

Making the La Crosse high school safer continues with construction on Central’s entrance.

When the project is done around Nov. 1, the main entrance to the high school will be on the building’s east side, where guests will need to buzz in and met by a staff member to sign them in.

“This is a directive the board gave us about five years ago to make our schools more safe and we’re just about done,” building and grounds director Joe Ledvina said. “We have Central and Longfellow to do and we’ve completed our task.”
