Report shows how much La Crosse’s airport means to region
Facility supports over 800 jobs, brings in over $50 million in wage income
La Crosse city leaders are touting the impact of the airport.
A Wisconsin DOT report shows the La Crosse Regional Airport has a huge impact on the local economy.
The study shows an economic output of $53 million and over $50 million in wage income to the local and state economy in 2015.
The same report shows the airport supporting over 800 jobs.
La Crosse Mayor Tim Kabat says clearly the airport is “an important economic driver” for the regional economy, while airport director Clinton Torp says utilizing the airport whenever possible “will ensure its long term success and growth.”
