Crews will be fixing landslides and dropping trees along road

Beginning at 8 a.m. today, the city of La Crosse will begin repairs on and around Bliss Rd.

Heavy equipment and trees being dropped mean it’ll be dangerous for anything or anyone – no cars, no bicycles, no people – to travel along the road heading to Grandad Bluff.

It will remain closed throughout the week, ending Friday, as barring any unforeseen complications, including weather.

The city has a number of repairs in mind, including tree removal, crack filling, and a repair of a washed-out section just downhill from the road.

To get to Grandad Bluff, people will have to travel on Hwy. 33 on the south side of La Crosse to Cty. F.
