Bliss Rd. will not reopen today, as planned

Repair work, tree removal, taking longer than expected

It’s taking a little longer than expected to fix Bliss Road in La Crosse.  

That’s the reason the city is giving for keeping the road to Grandad Bluff closed into next week.

Originally, Bliss was reopen sometime today, thinking crews needed just five days to handle repairs like finishing washed-out gullies, tree removal and crack repair.  

But all of those repairs are taking longer than anticipated.

Now, Bliss Road is expected to stay closed until next Wednesday.
