Student video shows experiences with racism at UW-La Crosse
Video will be used around
campus to help raise awareness
On a campus that’s 89 percent white, a group of minority students created a video detailing their experience with racism at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
The film is called Inclusive Negligence. The 25-minute video detail instances of racism and inequality inside the classroom and on campus.
It was played for faculty and staff Wednesday during UW-L Chancellor Joe Gow’s semester-opening remarks.
“I knew some of the insights, but they’re really put together in a way that’s quite compelling, powerful and really makes you think,” UW-L Chancellor Joe Gow said.
The video will be used around campus throughout the year to raise awareness.
