La Crosse Oktoberfest giving away Golden Keg

No, it won’t be full of beer

One of the golden kegs rolling off the line at City Brewery in La Crosse can be yours.

For the first time, the keg that gets tapped to start off the Oktoberfest celebration will be given away at a drawing on the fest grounds. You have to be present to win.  

No, it won’t come with beer inside.

The other four kegs will be used at other fest events.

All of the five kegs are ready to go now for the start of Oktoberfest at the end of the month.  

They’ll be filled with the new Old Style Oktoberfest beer that was unveiled earlier this summer. The beer marks the return of Old Style to La Crosse and also the first new beer from the Old Style brand in 15 years.
