Trane Park showcases use for all

Overhaul expected ready by Aug. 2018

It will be a park for all abilities.

Trane Park could open in 2018 if if everything goes well for a number of collaborators behind its transformation. 

A meeting showcasing their plan to the neighborhood took place Wed. night. 

The park calls for a 2.7-acre area that features playground equipment suitable for all physical and mental abilities, grouped into categories of swinging, swaying, sliding, early development and more.

The material will allow those in wheelchairs, for instance, to use the same equipment as other children. 

La Crosse parks director Steve Carolyn said the money is coming from donors, the county and the city.

The project is slated for construction in August with completion a year later.
