Presidential nominees daughter took questions from audience

While Chelsea Clinton kept things mostly serious, hovering around political issues during her visit to La Crosse on Tuesday, there was some comedic relief.

One woman in the audience presented Clinton with an envelope with a Clinton St. address, saying she had lived there since Bill Clinton was president. And, in the envelope, a gift.

“I also brought some Trump repellent,” the woman told Chelsea Clinton. “They’re Tic Tacs, in case he tries to give a concession kiss, instead of a phone call.”

The crowd laughed as Chelsea Clinton said, “I will definitely take the envelope.”

About 200 people showed up at Cleary Center – a smaller room on the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse’s campus – to see the 36-year-old, who is now a wife and mother. The last time she was on campus was during Hillary Clinton’s 2008 campaign.

On more serious notes, Chelsea Clinton talked about the public image of her mother and the state of the Affordable Care Act, as she took about six questions from the audience.
