Tonight: WATCH, Holmen at Pulaski. LISTEN, Logan at Rice Lake
Seth Wilson closing in on 2,000 yards
It’ll be a busy night of high school football across our airwaves this evening.
La Crosse Logan (7-3), fresh off its Division 3 upset against Hayward, will be on the road again, this time against No. 1 seed Rice Lake (8-2), which blanked Merrill in the first round, 41-0.
You can listen live on AM 580 WKTY – pregame at 6:45 p.m.
Also in the division, No. 2-seeded Onalaska (9-1) will host New Richmond (8-2).
IN DIVISION 2, it’s a battle of underdogs, as seventh-seeded Holmen (7-3) will take another long road trip, heading to sixth-seeded Pulaski (6-4).
Both teams came up with upsets in Round 1 – Holmen destroying No. 2 Superior 58-37, while Pulaski took down No. 3-seed Hortonville 35-28.
Wisconsin Badgers recruit, Holmen running back Seth Wilson needs just 177 yards and a touchdown to reach 2,000 yards and 30 touchdowns on the season. Wilson scored five TDs last week.
That game is on AM 1410 WIZM, but also being livestreamed online right here.
IN DIVISION 4, West Salem (8-2) will take on Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau (9-1).
IN DIVISION 7, defending state champions and top-seeded and fifth ranked – Small Division – Bangor (10-1) will host De Soto (8-1), while Pepin-Alma (9-1), which lost to Bangor in the state championship last year, will host Eleva-Strum (8-2).
Bangor is the only team mentioned above that was ranked in the final AP Poll.
