Shilling-Kapanke-DeNure debate free to public

La Crosse likely won’t see another presidential campaign visit before election day but other races will continue to vie for our attention.

Former Senator Russ Feingold has a visit planned to La Crosse this morning at the headquarters of Dairyland Power.

In the five most recent polls measured by the Huffington Post, Dem. Feingold leads incumbent Rep. Ron Johnson anywhere from 2 to 12 points.

At 7 p.m. Tuesday, the 32nd District state senate race will be the focus of a debate at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Incumbent Jennifer Shilling, former Senator Dan Kapanke, and local political activist Chip DeNure will square off in the Stzrelczyk Great Hall.
