Caledonia volleyball headed to state semifinals after sweep in opener
Warriors play at 3 p.m. tomorrow
ST. PAUL — Caledonia High School’s volleyball team is headed to the Minnesota state semifinals.
The third-seeded Warriors – ranked fifth in Class 1A – easily swept Cook County today 3-0 (25-11, 25-13, 25-17), getting 11 kills from Sam Schroeder.

At 3 p.m. Friday at the Xcel Energy Center, Caledonia (29-5) will play the winner between No. 2-seeded and third-ranked Tracy-Milroy-Balaton (28-7) and unseeded, unranked Kimball (20-13).
In the win over Cook County (22-4), Sam Schroeder had 11 kills, while Adrianna Reinhart added 32 assists for the Warriors. Isabel Allen had 12 digs for Caledonia, which entered the playoffs having lost three of its final four matches – all at a challenging Lakeville North tournament.
