Kabat makes it official
La Crosse mayor will run for 2nd term
With family and friends behind him, Tim Kabat announced his plans to run for a second term as mayor today.
Kabat, speaking at Myrick Park this morning, highlighted accomplishments in expanding business, growing the local economy and improving neighborhoods in the city.
“We have accomplished so much these past four years and with the community’s support and engagement we can get so much more done,” said Kabat at the announcement.
If reelected, Kabat would be the first two term mayor since John Medinger left office in 2005.
The election for mayor is in April. All of the city’s council seats will also be on the ballot as the council shrinks from seventeen to thirteen seats.
