Contradicting forecasts on La Crosse getting hit with snow storm

Snow could be coming Friday

Dueling predictions for a potential winter storm through this area are hitting the internet.

One Ohio TV station has posted a map for this weekend, suggesting that La Crosse could get 3 to 8 inches of snow, beginning Friday.

The National Weather Service in Grand Forks, N.D., however, has a map showing the storm track moving well north of La Crosse, toward Eau Claire, Wis.

Both forecasts show heavy snow on the way to the Dakotas and western Minnesota.
