“Stuff the Bus” Aids WAFER Food Pantry

Food items weighed three times more than the total of the nine students dropping them off

Over 2,800 pounds of non-perishable food and hygeine items were donated to the WAFER Food Pantry this week by students of the Aquinas Middle School.

It’s part of the annual “Stuff the Bus” event, where the items are loaded into a school bus and brought to the pantry.

“It’s really awesome to see the genuine excitement and heart the kids have, knowing the difference they’re making right here at home,” Executive Director Erin Waldhart said.

Waldhart says it helps their clients, who have allergies or specific diets because they now have options. Their inventory was rather low, previously.
