Man who blows .296, upset police pulled him over as he was headed to three-some
He was also holding a red Solo cup of whiskey
Police have probably heard everything.
But, given the factors surrounding Robert Flores’ arrest around 10:30 p.m. Friday, this might have been a first.
The 32-year-old La Crosse man was pulled over, arrested for his third OWI near the intersection at Lang Dr. and La Crosse St.
When asked where he was headed, Flores told police they interrupted his evening as he was headed to a three-some, according to the report.
But to top off the story, police also noticed Flores holding a red Solo cup. One that smelled of alcohol. Whiskey, apparently.
Flores would later record a .296 on the breathalyzer, telling police he was, “Alright,” to drive.
Along with a third OWI, he was charged with driving while revoked, unsafe lane deviation and, of course, having an open intoxicant.
