Protesters chanted at O’Hare International Airport in Chicago during Tuesday’s so-called Day of Disruption.
Thousands of low-wage workers marched and stood in protest in cities across the nation in support of a $15 an hour minimum wage. Protests were planned for over 300 cities across the nation including at 20 airports which disrupted travel for some.
The union-backed effort drew hundreds to a protest in Minneapolis, during which 24 were arrested.
In Milwaukee, several dozen protesters showed up at a McDonald’s to demand a $15 wage.
